The Heart Rhythm Association Singapore (HRAS) is pleased to announce that the HRAS GP Forum 2023 will be held as an onsite forum on 23 September (Saturday) from 14:00 to 16:30 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Galleria Ballroom Level 3. Prizes for lucky draw and ECG quiz winner.

This forum is strictly for general practitioners in Singapore only and we are open for free registration now. Register now to avoid disappointment as seats are limited to 100 pax only.

Dr Ng Kheng Siang
Cardiologist & Heart Specialist Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore
Dr Ng is a Consultant Cardiologist in private practice at Gleneagles Medical Centre. He previously served as Head, Department of Cardiology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital; Director of Arrhythmia Service, The Heart Institute; Senior Consultant, Cardiac Department, National University Hospital and Senior Clinical Lecturer, National University of Singapore.

During his public service, Dr Ng was active in post-graduate education, sitting on multiple committees, including the Specialty Training Committee, Chapter of Cardiologists (Academy of Medicine), and the National Committee for Cardiac Care. He was a recipient of the Young Investigator Award (Singapore Cardiac Society 1994 and 1998), Excellent Service Silver Award and the Pingkat Kepujian (Commendation Medal) for his service in the public sector.

His main interests include atrial fibrillation and sudden cardiac death.

Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Cardiology Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore
Prof Chia is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Cardiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital Singapore. In recognition of his contributions to medical undergraduate and postgraduate education, Dr Chia has been conferred Adjunct Associate Professorships by both Lee Kong Chian and Yong Loo Lin Schools of Medicine. He is the Cardiology Sub-Specialty Editor of the Singapore Medical Journal. His special interests include cardiac arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices.

Adjunct A/Prof Paul Lim
Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore
Adjunct Assistant Prof Paul Lim is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist in private practice with the Heart Specialist Clinic at Mount Elizabeth and Parkway East Medical Centres. He is also a Visiting Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore. He graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2004 and subsequently obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) together with his Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the National University of Singapore in 2009. He was accorded Certificate Board Accreditation in Cardiology in 2014.

He completed his fellowship at the Barts Heart Centre NHS Trust London United Kingdom in 2017 where he underwent advanced cardiac electrophysiology training. He attained European Heart Rhythm Association Certified Electrophysiology Specialist and Certified Device Specialist Certification in 2019.

He specialises in catheter ablation and device implantation for complex cardiac rhythm disorders.

Dr Jeremy Chow
Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist Asian Heart & Vascular Centre, Singapore
Dr Jeremy Chow graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2001 and obtained the Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from the National University of Singapore in 2006. Dr Chow was certified as a Specialist in Cardiology since 2010 and completed his cardiac electrophysiology sub-specialization in Germany. Dr Chow is an experienced cardiologist and electrophysiologist and has special interest in the management of coronary artery diseases and arrhythmias including combined Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) with left appendage closure in atrial fibrillation. He is also an avid implanter for cardiac implantable electronic devices in the management of symptomatic bradycardias adopting conduction system pacing, sudden cardiac death prevention and heart failure with cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Dr XuanMing Pung
Associate Consultant National Heart Centre, Singapore
Dr Pung Xuanming is an Associate Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore. Dr Pung completed his MBChB from University of Edinburgh in 2014 and obtained membership of Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 2018. Dr Pung obtained his cardiology specialty accreditation with the Ministry of Health, Singapore, in 2023. His clinical subspeciality interest is in adult clinical electrophysiology and cardiac pacing.

Dr Lee Chee Wan
Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist Cardiac Centre International, Singapore
Dr Lee Chee Wan is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Cardiac Centre International (CCI). He obtained his medical degree from the University of Sydney under the John Crawford scholarship and went on to complete postgraduate training in Oxford and Cambridge. During his training, he obtained PhD from the University of Oxford under the Wellcome Trust Fellowship Program. He also undertook further fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology at the Toronto General Hospital. Prior to joining CCI, Dr Lee was the head of the Department of Cardiology at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and the Director of the Cardiovascular Centre. He continues to hold visiting consultant positions to National Heart Centre, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Clin Asst Prof Lim Tien Siang Eric
Senior Consultant National Heart Centre, Singapore
Clinical Assistant Professor Eric Lim is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore.

His subspecialty interest is in electrophysiology.

Dr Kelvin Wong
Cardiologist & Heart Specialist Mount Elizabeth, Singapore
Dr Wong obtained his medical degree from University of Cambridge, UK, in 1999. He was conferred the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree by University of Cambridge in 2013 for his doctorate thesis on Atrial Fibrillation ablation.

In 2014, he returned to Singapore as Consultant Cardiologist at Changi General Hospital and Visiting Consultant at National Heart Centre Singapore. He helped set up the Electrophysiology and Cardiac Rhythm Management service in Changi General Hospital.

Dr Wong is experienced in managing general cardiac conditions as well as heart rhythm disorderes. He joined private practice at Orchard Heart Specialist clinic in 2019.

Dr Devinder Singh
Medical Director Cadence Heart Centre
Dr Devinder Singh is the Medical Director of Cadence Heart Center, Mount Elizabeth Medical Center, Orchard, Singapore. He is formerly a Senior Consultant in the Department of Cardiology at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore.

Dr Singh graduated from Gahuati Medical College, Guwahati University, India. Subsequently, he did his training in Internal Medicine at Pt BDS Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak (India) and obtained his Master’s Degree in Year 2000. He obtained membership of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) in Year 2006. Thereafter, he did his Advanced Specialty Training (AST) in Cardiology at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore. Before joining National University Heart Centre, Singapore, he was an Associate Consultant in the Cardiac Department at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Dr Singh did fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Advanced Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Duke University, North Carolina, USA. He has also completed level 2 training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Duke University, North Carolina, USA.

Dr Singh has keen interests in clinical cardiology, cardiac rhythm disorders (arrhythmia), cardiac pacing (including cardiac resynchronization therapy) and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. He performs electrophysiology study and radiofrequency ablation of cardiac arrhythmias. He also implants pacemakers and defibrillators.

Dr Tan Boon Yew
Senior Consultant Cardiologist Prime Heart Centre, Singapore
Dr Tan is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist specializing in Electrophysiology and Pacing. After completing his training in general cardiology at the National Heart Centre Singapore in 2006, he was conferred the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award, and the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) award between 2008 and 2010 to pursue subspecialty training in Electrophysiology and Pacing at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland (USA). During his tenure in NHCS, Dr Tan was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, he was also the Chairman of the Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) Cardiology Senior Residency Program, and the Chairman of the Cardiology Senior Residency Training Exit Exam Committee under the auspices of the Joint Committee of Specialist Training (JCST), Singapore. Dr Tan is a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) as well as a Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS-A) with the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). He continues to be a Test Writing Committee member for the Certified Electrophysiology Specialist exams (IBHRE), and actively contributes to the international accreditation of electrophysiologists who participate in the CEPS-A.
